WWE RAW RESULTS 11 April 2016 GALLOWS AND ANDERSON DEBUT, ROMAN REIGNS AND BRAY WYATT TEAM UP

In memory of Robert “Blackjack Mulligan” Windham: 1942-2016.

“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

We go live into the Staples Center to hear Shane McMahon’s music hit. The crowd erupts as he makes his way to the stage doing his Shane O’Mac shuffle. They show a tweet that states Shane McMahon is in control of RAW tonight due to overwhelming social media support. The crowd chants “Shane O’Mac.” Shane says it feels good to be out here. Shane is interrupted by another loud chant of “Shane O’Mac.” Shane says his father let him run Monday Night RAW for his own personal amusement, but he must be very amused because he’s back tonight. The credit goes out to the fans because they’re the reason he’s back. Shane thanks them, and they chant “Thank you” back at him. Shane says he wants to keep rolling with what he started last week. We’ll have new superstars, new opportunities, and fresh match-ups. Natalya has challenged Charlotte for the WWE Women’s Championship. That will happen here tonight. We’ll also start a tag team tournament with the winners facing The New Day. That will begin tonight. Congratulations go out to “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles last week because winning that fatal four-way means he’s taking on Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Reigns’ name gets massive boos. Shane says it’s an amazing opportunity, but one was squandered last week. Sami Zayn will get another opportunity tonight, as he’ll face AJ Styles. If Zayn wins, in three weeks time, it will be Sami Zayn versus AJ Styles versus Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a triple threat match-up! A light “Holy shit” chant breaks out before a “YES” chant breaks out.

Kevin Owens’ music hits, and he makes his way out to the ring looking disappointed. Owens says with all due respect, it’s a good thing that tonight might be his last night in charge. If Shane thinks Sami Zayn deserves that kind of opportunity, he may have knocked a few screws loose when he jumped off that cell, especially considering how he is absolutely getting screwed over here. Shane wonders why he feels screwed over since he screwed over Sami Zayn last Monday. Owens has had opportunities and last Monday, he lost in the fatal four-way just as he lost at WrestleMania. Owens interrupts him and says he wants to correct him. He was robbed by Sami Zayn at K-O-Mania. He was also robbed last Monday because he never got pinned. That’s just not fair. It’s also not fair that he has yet to receive his rematch for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. In fact, he’s in the ring and ready to fight. Owens demands his rematch for the Intercontinental Championship tonight. Shane says that’s not how things are run here. This may be his last night, but he has to earn it. Owens can earn his rematch, but he has to beat one guy here tonight. Shane has seen this guy since 2:30 in the afternoon going back and forth. The winner of tonight’s match will face Miz for the Intercontinental Championship. That man is the “Swiss Superman” Cesaro. Shane says he’s ready, Cesaro is ready, and Owens says he’s ready this will start right now! Owens can’t believe this and yells at Shane as he gets out of the ring.

Cesaro’s music hits, and he greets Shane McMahon. Cesaro is wearing sunglasses and a full suit. Cesaro then rips it off and makes his way to the ring. He poses next to some fans holding “Cesaro Section” signs before getting in the ring.

Owens connects with a picture perfect frog splash for a near fall!

Owens gets to his feet and says he’s awesome before signaling that this is over. Owens goes for a Pop-up Powerbomb, but Cesaro leapfrogs him, ducks a clothesline, and connects with a springboard spinning uppercut! wwe wrestlemania 32 results Roman Reigns defeates HHH; The Undertaker defeats Shane McMahon

WrestleMania 32 is in Dallas is today and features two of the most anticipated matches in recent history, Shane McMahon vs. Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match. If McMahon wins, he gets control of Monday Night Raw and Undertaker will never be able to wrestle at WrestleMania again.

The other anticipated match is HHH against Roman Reigns for the heavyweight championship. Will this be the day they finally turn Reigns heel, since most fans can't stand him? Stay here for all the results as they happen today.

Kalisto (champion) vs. Ryback, United States championship

Kalisto pinned Ryback after hitting the Salida del Sol. Ryback dominated most of the match, which was a lot slower than you would think for a Kalisto match. cored the pin with a drop toe hold into the exposed turnbuckle and then the Salida del Sol  Ryback took most of the match doing power spots.  It felt more like a dark match,  It was a basic match.  Kalisto didn't do any dives and Ryback did mostly basic power stuff in a slower paced match.  Everything they did was fine.  The stadium was pretty empty because there were problems getting people into the building.

Team Total Divas: Brie Bella, Eva Marie, Paige, Natalya, and Alicia Fox vs. Team BAD and Blonde: Naomi, Tamina, Lana, Summer Rae, and Emma in a 10-Diva tag match

Team Total Divas won when Brie used the Yes lock on Naomi. Nikki Bella, still recovering from major neck surgery, came out after the match to celebrate with her sister and the winning team. Most of the match was spent with the women hitting their finishing maneuvers on each other. Eva Marie was pretty much booed out of the building, because fans don't like the push she is receiving. She wasn't too bad in the ring though.

Lita came into the ring and made a long overdue announcement. The women will no longer compete for the Divas championship, they will compete for the WWE women's title. It's high time they stopped calling their women Divas and started presenting them as serious competitors and not just eye candy.

The Usos (Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso) vs. The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley)

The Usos won by pinfall after Jey superkicked D-Von. After the match, the Dudleyz blindsided the Usos, then went and grabbed two tables from under the ring. However, the Usos recovered, knocked the Dudleyz down with superkicks, put them on the tables and did stereo splashes off the top rope to put the Dudleys through the tables.

That's it for the pre-show. WrestleMania starts for real at 4 p.m. PDT.

Fifth Harmony kicks things off with a beautiful version of America the Beautiful. This would have been a great time for Michael Hayes to come out and sing Badstreet.
.

Intercontinetal title ladder match:  Kevin Owens (champion) vs. The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sami Zayn vs. Zack Ryder vs. Sin Cara vs. Stardust

An amazing match. Some highlights: Zayn diving through a ladder, between the top and middle ropes and taking out five competitors at ringside. Then he got up, dove from the floor, through the corner of the ring and hit Kevin Owens with a DDT. Sin Cara was pushed off a ladder, but used the top rope as a springboard to splash four guys at ringside. Owens did a frogsplash onto Zayn, who was laying on a ladder propped up against the bottom rope. Ryder dropped an elbow from the top of a ladder onto The Miz, who was laying in the ring. Owens power bombed Ziggler off the middle of a ladder. Sin Cara did a splash from the top of a ladder set up in the ring, and landed on Stardust, who was laying on a ladder propped between the ring and the ringside barrier.

The match ended when The Miz raced to the top of the ladder, but started gloating before grabbing the belt. Ryder raced up, knocked Miz off the ladder and grabbed the belt for the victory and the Intercontinental championship. So, the least likely person to win ended up winning.

Chris Jericho vs. AJ Styles

Another good match. Jericho reversed a calf crusher and Styles kicked out of a codebreaker. Jericho escaped one Styles Clash and kicked out after Styles hit a second attempt. Jericho kicked out after Styles hit a springboard 450 moonsault. Jericho won after he turned Styles' phenomenal forearm attempt into a codebreaker. Another surprising outcome to a match.

The New Day vs. the League of Nations

League of Nations won after Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick on Xavier Woods.

Wade Barrett then grabbed a microphone and said that they are better than any three men in WWE. That brought out Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley and Stone Cold Steve Austin. As the crowd went crazy, the three came to the ring and destroyed the League of Nations, with all three men hitting their finishing maneuver. New Day then came into the ring and tried to get them to dance. Michaels and Foley started dancing, but Austin decided to give a Stone Cold Stunner to Woods. Michaels, Foley and Austin then had some beers as the crowd cheered. A really good WrestleMania moment.
.

Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose, street fight

Both of these guys are going to be really sore tomorrow. Lesnar hit 13 suplexes on Ambrose, who must have hit Lesnar a dozen times on the chest and back with a kendo stick. Ambrose hit Lesnar with a fire extinguisher and a DDT on a chair. Finish came when Lesnar ducked the barbed wire baseball bat and hit an F5 on a chair.

Charlotte (champion) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks for the women's title

Charlotte retained when Lynch tapped out to the Figure 8. Banks tried to get in the ring to break it up, but Ric Flair grabbed her legs and stopped her. Great match, showing why they should not be referred to as Divas. Crowd popped big when Charlotte hit both with a moonsault off the top rope and when Lynch hit Ric Flair with a tope.

Shane McMahon vs. Undertaker, Hell in a Cell

I'm surprised this isnt closing the show. They must have something big planned for HHH vs. Reigns.

Undertaker won with  a Tombstone piledriver. But the big move was Shane leaping off the top of the cage onto Undertaker, who was draped across the announce table. Undertaker moved, and Shane crashed through the table and hit the floor. And it didn't look like there was any padding to break his fall. Shane was carted off on a stretcher. I was hoping for some sort of acknowledgement from Undertaker that Shane earned some respect. Other than that, the match was good, better than I expected it to be. I cant imagine what Shane's wife and kids were thinking while watching their husband and father drop 20 feet to the arena floor. It's worth subscribing to the WWE network just to see this match.

Andre the Giant memorial battle royal
.

Shaquille O'Neal was a surprise entrant. He and Big Show squared off and tried to choke slam each other, but the other competitors swarmed them and dumped them both out. Other surprise entrants: DDP and Tatanka.

It was your typical battle royal that ended when Baron Corbin from NXT eliminated Kane.

The Rock came out for his segment and announced that there were 101,763 were in attendance, which is probably an inflated figure, but there are certainly a lot of people in the building. While doing his usual shtick, Rock was interrupted by the Wyatt Family. They all got on the apron.  Rock took off his shirt and his pants, showing he was wearing his wrestling trunks. The crowd went crazy as the bell rang, and The Rock pinned Erick Rowan in seven seconds. The rest of the Wyatt Family entered the ring and surrounded the Rock. John Cena came out, and he and The Rock cleared house.

Triple H (champion) vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE heavyweight championship

Very slow-paced, methodical match. Hunter worked over the left arm and tried to get Reigns to tap out, but Reigns kept powering out.

Ending came when Stephanie McMahon entered the ring to complain to the ref. Hunter walked over and moved to avoid a spear from Reigns, who hit Stephanie with it by accident. She sold it like she was unconscious. Hunter hit a pedigree, but Reigns kicked out just before the three count. Reigns hit a Superman punch, but Hunter stopped the spear with a high knee. Hunter rolled to the ring apron, where a recovering Stephanie handed him a sledgehammer. Reigns avoided it, hit the spear, and got the pin. The crowd booed the finish.

They should have ended the show with the Undertaker-Shane McMahon match, but overall, this was a pretty good WrestleMania.

wwe wrestlemania 32 matches predictions

WWE WrestleMania 2016 Spoilers

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Triple H (c) vs. Roman Reigns

This was obvious from the moment Triple H was taken out and Roman Reigns won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, so it's just been a matter of making it official, and that's finally happened. Back after last year's WrestleMania, I was hoping for a main event of Daniel Bryan against Seth Rollins. It's weird to think that we're now in a position where Rollins is injured and Bryan is retired. Then, it seemed like a triple threat with The Shield members was a good option, but they killed that off at Survivor Series. Is HHH vs Reigns going to make up for it and be good enough? We'll see, but judging by the reaction he got at Fastlane, if we get a decent option that could take the main event spot over this one, that might be best. Ending the pay-per-view with this match is somewhat risky.

PREDICTION: Roman Reigns leaves with the title.

Hell in a Cell Match: The Undertaker vs. Shane McMahon

Well, this certainly was unexpected. I'm hesitant to trust that this is the best idea out there, as opposed to something straightforward like Undertaker vs. Kevin Owens, but I can't deny that I'm intrigued as hell. This could be amazing, but it's also questionable about the quality considering their respective ages. Also, no matter who wins, the fact that the other person lost is a shame. Having Shane go up against Sheamus representing The Authority would have been a safer bet, but if WWE has a set goal in mind, then we'll just have to see what is in store.

PREDICTION: Undertaker wins.

No Holds Barred Match: Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose

YES! I really didn't want to see Brock Lesnar face anybody in The Wyatt Family and I was hoping this match would take place instead. I'm particularly excited that this is a No DQ match, as that is the best possible scenario for these two to have the most entertaining match possible, considering their styles. This could be the most fun match of the night.

PREDICTION: Brock Lesnar wins.

Divas Championship: Charlotte (c) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch

It makes sense for this match to be taking place, although I'm actually a little surprised Becky Lynch is still in the mix instead of being written off in favor of just Sasha Banks. Right now,  I'm really hoping we don't have a second divas match on the card unless it's on the pre-show and doesn't take up time from any other matches that could have been better. Sasha Banks was one half of the duo that put on two of the best matches of the entire year just not in the divas division, but the entire company, and while Charlotte is no Bayley, there's potential for these three to have a really solid match.

PREDICTION: Sasha Banks wins.

The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal #3

Despite my aversions to it, it seems like WWE will continue this trend unless the roster is so ridiculously thin that they can't afford to have that happen. This is where you'll see a lot of your names like the Social Outcasts, Damien Sandow, Fandango, Jack Swagger, Zack Ryder, Darren Young, The Ascension, and more. It's possible even some NXT people get tossed into the mix, which would be cool. At one point in time, I thought Titus O'Neil was the priority who would end up winning, but his suspension has eradicated that from my thought process. Now, I'm leaning more towards Mark Henry, as he's set to be retiring soon and this would give him a WrestleMania moment. The biggest factor, though, is whether or not The Wyatt Family takes part in this match.

Advertised participants so far: Curtis Axel, Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, Big Show, Kane, Tyler Breeze, Mark Henry, Jack Swagger, Fandango, Damien Sandow, Darren Young, Konnor, Viktor, Goldust, R-Truth and 4 others TBA

PREDICTION: Mark Henry wins unless Braun Strowman is involved.

The Usos vs. The Dudley Boyz

So remember this feud? Nope?

Wwe smackdown results 31 march 2016

As such, it's not clear at this time what the format will be for
Thursday’s show or even what order these matches and segments will
be shown in.

The Social Outcasts come out for a promo, in their typical humorous
heel style. At the very least, Axel could be used more seriously, but that
doesn’t seem to be in the cards.
.

AJ Styles def. Heath Slater

The victory comes from a Phenomenal Forearm by Styles, who is now
using this impressively athletic move as his finisher. It’s possible that
he could still use the Styles Clash, but for now, he seems focused on
the flying forearm smash and the Calf Crusher submission hold.

This is where this format for the week gets really interesting, since the
fans in Brooklyn wouldn’t have yet known for sure that Chris Jericho
would accept Styles’ challenge for WrestleMania. That means he
couldn’t really do much talking about his larger storyline leading into
this match.

D-Von Dudley def. Jimmy Uso
The Dudleyz seemingly have the upper hand going into WrestleMania,
but history tells us that momentum could easily be reversed Sunday.
The match between these two sets of brothers could be sneaky good
and will easily exceed the low expectations most fans have for it.

Dean Ambrose def. Erick Rowan

Ambrose drops the Wyatts’ designated fall guy with a Dirty Deeds to
go into the “Showcase of the Immortals” on a winning note. Honestly,
though, was there anyone who saw this match advertised during RAW
and expected anything different? Ambrose is preparing for one of the
biggest matches of the event, and Rowan could take a pin in a coat
closet by himself.

Ambrose, as expected, has built brilliantly to his street fight with Brock
Lesnar at WrestleMania. Through interactions with Mick Foley and
Terry Funk, as well as a fantastically weird segment with a wagon on
Monday’s RAW, he and Lesnar have done everything they could to
convince us that Ambrose is a believable threat to take down the Beast
Incarnate. If he did, and he should, that would be one of the company’s
biggest rubs and could lead to big things down the road.

Wwe smackdown results 24 March 2016 Brock Lesnar F5 to Dean Ambrose

Smackdown, taped in Boston, Massachusetts, opens with an in-ring promo from Charlotte and her father, Ric Flair. Charlotte heels it up, as usual, to lead into the opening match of the night. Even if the format of opening with a promo is familiar, it’s an interesting twist to open with the Divas.

Here are the WWE Thursday Night Smackdown Results and Spoilers for 24 March, 2016:

Sasha Banks def. Charlotte (non-title match)

Banks, a Boston native, gets a large reaction from the crowd, but she is welcomed warmly everywhere, it seems. The victory comes when she reverses the Divas Champion’s signature Figure Eight finisher into a rollup. Afterward, Becky Lynch – who had been on commentary – takes out both of her WrestleMania 32 opponents before leaving, and then Banks hits Charlotte with a Backstabber.

That’s an intriguing move from Lynch, who has been a clear face since being called up to the main roster. Coupled with actions in other divisions, specifically from Roman Reigns and the Usos, it’s a refreshing blur of the heel-face lines.

Speaking of moving across those lines, The New Day has done just that, and they’re up next for their typical promo fare. That gets interrupted by the League of Nations, which is missing Alberto Del Rio.

Sheamus def. Kofi Kingston

In an interesting blend of styles, Kofi rallies from an early beating before taking a Brogue Kick. Rusev and Wade Barrett interfere, as is to be expected.

The New Day story arc has worked out very nicely for the WWE. The trio got to develop the sarcastic characters they always wanted in the heel ranks before coming back to the face side of things, where WWE brass seemingly wanted them from the get-go. And because there was never really a clear turn besides feuding with the decidedly heel League of Nations, the New Day could easily transition back if need be at a later date.

The Usos def. The Ascension

Thankfully, this one doesn’t take long as Viktor eats a double superkick. Interestingly enough, The Usos steal The Dudley Boyz schtick and send the Ascension through tables with a pair of top rope splashes.

Naturally, that leads to a backstage interview between Renee Young and the Dudleys, who insult the Usos’ family. That includes Rikishi and the Wild Samoans, which is one bridge too far for Roman Reigns, son of Sika, one of the Wild Samoans. He challenges Bubba Ray Dudley to a match later.

Now, this is really good booking. Reigns needs to have a few matches to establish his momentum going into WrestleMania, but he’s obviously not going to be fighting Triple H on Smackdown. This tie-in makes sense, and it will provide fans with a unique match that hasn’t been seen on WWE programming like so many others have.

Sami Zayn/Dolph Ziggler def. The Miz/Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens has established that he isn’t a good teammate on multiple occasions, but these types of matches are obviously going to happen leading into a seven-man ladder match. True to form, after Ziggler rallies from an early hole to get Zayn in the match, Owens attempts to get out of the match. In comes Sin Cara, Zack Ryder and Stardust to get him back to the ring, and Miz turns on him for a Skull Crushing Finale. From there, it’s the expected “finisher party,” with Ryder as the surprise lone survivor after a Rough Ryder on Owens.

This is an obvious ploy to save some poor booking for the WrestleMania ladder match. Ryder isn’t a threat in the least to win that match, unless a major swerve is in order, but he, Sin Cara and Stardust will get a boost over the next couple weeks to appear stronger.

Roman Reigns vs. Bubba Ray Dudley

If you expected this to be a technical showdown with an actual finish, you’ll be disappointed. Reigns gets a big pop on his entrance, and before long, the match is a brawl outside the ring. Reigns takes the advantage until D-Von, who accompanied his brother to the ring, makes the save. That earns D-Von a Superman Punch and a trip through the ring steps, and Bubba catches a spear before Reigns makes his exit.

This darker version of Reigns is good. He’s still working as a face against the heel Dudley Boyz, but his less fan-friendly persona suits him well. This is the same route that was taken with Reigns leading into his last title reign, though, and he was back to the smiles as soon as he got the belt. That doesn’t need to be the case this time if he’s to be the company’s top champion again.

Next is a backstage conversation between Goldust and R-Truth, who worked together Monday on RAW. Perhaps they could be added to the Dudleys-Usos match, but maybe this is a build for down the road.

A second dialogue segment follows, this time between the Lucha Dragons, Sin Cara and Kalisto. Both have big title matches on the WrestleMania 32 card, and Kalisto – the United States Champion – runs into his challenger, Ryback, for a quick exchange about the match.

AJ Styles def. Tyler Breeze
.

Styles wins in quick fashion with a Phenomenal Forearm, the springboard arm shot that has been a favorite among fans.

Either or both of these performers should be in the Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania, but at the very least, it’s good that they’re working together here. It could lead to something down the road, but Breeze needs to be more competitive for that to matter.

Paul Heyman escorts his client, Brock Lesnar, to the ring, where he calls out Dean Ambrose for a fight. Instead, they get surrounded by the Wyatt Family. Ambrose doesn’t leave them waiting long, though, as his music hits and he and Lesnar clear the ring. This is an obvious play for a cheap pop, but it was surely a cool moment to see all that talent in the ring at once with Lesnar and Ambrose briefly on the same side.

That doesn’t last long, though, as Ambrose comes after his WrestleMania foe with a kendo stick before getting hit with an F5 to close out the show.

The Miz interrupts next and says Ziggler should step aside for a real leading man that has actually main evented WrestleMania before. Ziggler and Miz have words until Sami Zayn’s music hits. They stand the table up and lay D-Von on top of it. They go up for Superfly Splashes but Bubba pulls D-Von to safety as fans boo. The Usos’ music hits as The Dudleyz retreat and Bubba talks more trash.

– Still to come, Vince McMahon’s Hell In a Cell announcement. Back to commercial.

– Back from the break and out comes Vince McMahon to a pop. Vince enters the ring and tells everyone to be be nice, be kind. He gets some boos. Vince reminds us his former son Shane McMahon will face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32 in Hell In a Cell.

Vince says Shane taking control of RAW would likely mean his daughter and son-in-law leaves the business. He says that would also probably mean that we see the last of him. Fans cheer and Vince eggs them on. He shows us a replay from last week’s segment. Vince goes on and says The Undertaker is also his bitch. Vince says if Taker doesn’t defeat Shane, this WrestleMania will be his last. Vince smiles and his music hits.

Dean Ambrose vs. Braun Strowman

Dean Ambrose’s music hits as Vince is still on the stage. Ambrose comes out anyway and walks right past Vince on his way to the ring. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and they hype this week’s SmackDown with Brock Lesnar as Paul Heyman is now on commentary. Braun Strowman is out next with Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. The bell rings and Ambrose avoids an attack in the corner. Ambrose avoids another and jabs Braun. He goes behind and takes shots at Braun. Braun drops him with a big shoulder.
